It is a test that the inside of the colon (large intestine) and rectum is displayed by an instrument called a colonoscope.
The colonoscope has a small camera attached to a flexible tube that can reach the entire length of the colon.
It is a simple test that does not feel any discomfort as it is performed under sedation. You can go home at the end of the test.
