Covid19 PCR Test in Madrid

The PCR test detects if you are Covid19 positive at the time of the test.

The PCR test allows us to detect fragments (genes) of the SARS-CoV-19 virus. By performing a nasal and/or pharyngeal swab, the presence of virus in the patient is detected. This test has the following characteristics:

• High specificitycan differentiate between viruses that are illogenetically very close.
• High sensitivitycan detect a very low number of RNA copies of the virus present in the biological sample.
• Earlycan detect the virus in the early stage of infection.

PCR results in 24-48 hours.
