A basic trauma visit is a medical evaluation performed to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal and joint injuries. The traumatologist is the specialist in charge of attending and treating this type of injuries, which may include fractures, sprains, strains, dislocations, among others.

During a basic trauma visit, the physician will perform a physical evaluation of the injury and assess the patient’s medical history. You can ask questions about how the injury occurred, the duration of symptoms and any other relevant details.
