What is an MRI?
Magnetic resonance imaging is a painless test that does not use x-rays and therefore does not emit radiation on the patient, as if it happens for example in a computerized tomography or in a conventional plain radiography.
For some types of examination, the use of contrast such as gadolinium is necessary, which is administered intravenously.
